Why Choose Tyrol?

Long-Lasting Durability

Long-Lasting  Durability

Tyrol frames are made from fiberglass-reinforced uPVC with fusion-welded corners, providing exceptional strength and durability. Each uPVC profile undergoes rigorous testing and holds AAMA Certification, ensuring it can withstand all North American climates. Fiberglass-reinforced uPVC profiles exhibit 60% less expansion and contraction compared to standard PVC profiles. This reduced expansion and contraction relieves stress on window-to-wall seals, extending their service life, reducing maintenance needs, and preserving the integrity of the building envelope for years to come.

Superior Water and Air Resistance

Superior Water and Air Resistance

This series is expertly crafted and tested to resist air and water leaks. Sturdy, multi-chamber frames with fusion-welded corners, three high-strength rubber weather seals and robust multi-point locking hardware create a strong barrier against the elements, effectively preventing mold and mildew growth.

Architectural Freedom

Architectural  Freedom

Crafted to your specifications, our custom-manufactured windows offer a wide range of sizes, to seamlessly integrate with your design plans. The combination of our lighter-than-competition frames and advanced lightweight glazing solutions enable us to create larger windows and larger viewing areas, allowing more natural light in your living spaces.

color that lasts

  • Our frames contain a high percentage of titanium dioxide, providing additional UV protection to withstand the highest radiation regions in North America.
  • Tyrol frames utilize RENOLIT EXOFOL FX which is designed for harsh climates and fade resistance. The multi-layer construction of the foil includes a base layer with Solar Shield Technology and a PVDF top layer to ensure colors retain their brilliance over their entire life, even when exposed to intense UV exposures.  The film's low surface tension makes it inherently dirt-repellent and easy to clean.

European  Style

European Style

The unique functionality of “dual-action” European-style operation allows owners to open their homes to the environment in very different ways.  Rotating the handle upwards to the "tilt" position allows tilt-turn windows and tilt-glide doors to tilt inward, creating a small gap at the top of the window to provide ventilation without compromising security. Turning the handle sideways allows the window or door sash to swing inward or slide across, opening the window fully for maximum fresh air and views.

Enhanced Peace and Quiet

Enhanced Peace and  Quiet

Tyrol windows provide significant noise reduction with sound attenuation performance up to STC-45, creating a peaceful and ultra-quiet indoor environment.

Healthy and Safe Living Spaces

Healthy and Safe Living Spaces

  • Our proprietary frames feature a certified lead-free formulation, complying with AAMA's rigid PVC vinyl chloride exterior "PB-free" (lead-free) standards. With Tyrol, you can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that your living spaces are not only stylish and functional but also optimized for your health and safety.
  • AAMA certification includes forced-entry resistance testing to help prevent forced entry. Forced entry resistance tests assess windows and doors to see how well they restrain, delay, or frustrate forced entry.

Future-Proof Your Building

Future-Proof Your Building

  • Tyrol windows and doors are a long-term investment that adds value to your home. This ensures they meet future building standards, keeping your home's envelope ahead of the curve.
  • High-performance products like Zenith save you money on energy bills. They also give you flexibility for future home upgrades. An efficient building envelope can help optimize modern HVAC solutions such as electric heat pumps. This can help with long-term energy savings and a smaller carbon footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are uPVC windows and doors energy efficient?

Yes, uPVC windows and doors are highly energy efficient. They are designed with excellent thermal insulation properties that minimize heat transfer, helping to maintain consistent indoor temperatures and reduce heating and cooling costs. Additionally, uPVC frames are durable and require low maintenance, while their tight seals prevent air leaks, further enhancing their energy efficiency.

How long do uPVC windows and doors last?

uPVC windows typically last between 20 to 30 years, depending on factors such as the conditions of installation, amount of use, climate exposure, and how well they are maintained. The durability of uPVC, along with its resistance to rot, rust, and corrosion, contributes to its long lifespan, making it a reliable choice. The Tyrol Series includes a full lifetime warranty while you own and reside in your home.

What type of windows will be the most energy efficient?

The best energy-efficient windows use advanced frame materials with high thermal resistance. Then they incorporate multi-pane insulated glass units with gas fills between the panes. Finally, precise construction prevents air leakage.

Why do uPVC doors and windows cost more than  alternatives?

uPVC doors and windows often cost more than traditional alternatives like vinyl frames because of the higher quality of materials and components. The manufacturing process for uPVC, which includes special additives and stabilizers to improve performance and longevity, can also add to the cost compared to vinyl. However, their ability to reduce energy bills with better insulation, coupled with minimal upkeep over the years, often makes uPVC a cost-effective choice in the long term.
